About CYL

Co-operative Young Leaders (CYL) is a youth leadership camp delivered by the Ontario Co-operative Association since 1967, designed for young people aged 12–18. Grounded in co-operative values, the program helps campers build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through hands-on workshops, group projects, and traditional camp experiences. CYL runs five weeks each summer for roughly 85 campers across two Ontario locations in Aylmer and Richmond Hill, and each week is supported by a dedicated team of volunteer facilitators. With a focus on democratic decision-making, community impact, and personal growth, CYL creates a safe and inspiring environment where youth connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, explore real-world leadership, and leave with skills and relationships that last well beyond camp. www.cyl.coop
